Kathmandu, Sept 26 – A total of 834 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The Ministry, in its routine virtual press meet, here on Sunday informed that the new cases were confirmed from the 13,736 tests conducted during the same period.
There are currently 19,142 active cases in the country. Among the infected ones, 368 have been receiving treatment in ICU, 120 in ventilators, 17,813 in home-isolations and 1,329 in institutional isolations. Altogether, 244 are in quarantine facilities.
Similarly, a total of 1,279 COVID-19 patients have enjoyed recovery in the past 24 hours. With this, the recovery caseload stands at 761,154. The recovery rate is 96.2 per cent.Nine people succumbed to the contagion in the last 24 hours. This takes the fatality caseload to 11,096 till date.
Meanwhile, 102,301 people received the vaccine against the deadly infection on Sunday alone. The number of people receiving the first dose of vaccine stands at 6,609,233 while 6,036,401 have been fully vaccinated so far, shared the Ministry. (RSS)
