Brazil reports 966 more COVID-19 deaths

(Xinhua) — The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW DELHI– India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 32,156,493 on Saturday as 38,667 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, showed the federal health ministry’s latest data.
Besides, as many as 478 deaths due to the pandemic since Friday morning took the total death toll to 430,732.

ULAN BATOR– Mongolia confirmed 1,402 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 181,291, the country’s health ministry said Saturday.
One of the latest confirmed cases was imported from abroad, and the remaining ones were local infections, said the ministry.

CANBERRA– The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) has reported one new case of coronavirus on the second day of its lockdown and confirmed the source of current outbreak.
The new case, a close contact of a previous case, takes the total number of active cases in Canberra to seven.

BEIJING — The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 30 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, including 18 in Jiangsu Province, four each in Henan and Hubei, three in Hunan, and one in Yunnan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Saturday.
Also reported were 36 new imported cases, including 11 in Fujian, five each in Shanghai and Yunnan, four each in Shandong and Sichuan, three in Guangdong, two in Tianjin, and one each in Liaoning and Shaanxi.

BOGOTA — Colombia reported 124 new deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the national death toll to 123,221, the country’s health ministry said Friday.
A total of 4,027 new infections were reported, bringing the national tally to 4,860,622, said the ministry.

SAO PAULO– Brazil has registered 966 more COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, raising its national death toll to 567,862, the health ministry said on Friday.
