काठमाडौं – गैर आवासीय नेपाली संघ (एनआरएनए) को एकता महाधिवेशन सम्पन्न गर्न गठित निर्वाचन समितिले निर्वाचन प्रयोजनका लागि प्रथम मतदाता नामावली प्रकाशित गरेको छ।
निर्वाचन समितिले सोमबार एक सूचना जारी गर्दै महाधिवेशनमा भाग लिन योग्य ठहरिएका ६२५ जना प्रतिनिधिको नामावली सार्वजनिक गरेको हो। समितिले अझै केही मतदाताहरूको आवश्यक छानबिन जारी रहेको र थप मतदाता नामावली छिट्टै प्रकाशन गरिने जानकारी गराएको छ।
सर्वोच्च अदालतको परमादेशअनुसार गठन भएको एनआरएनए उच्चस्तरीय समितिले यही वैशाख २० देखि २२ गते (मे ३–५, २०२५) काठमाडौंमा महाधिवेशन आह्वान गरेको छ, जसअन्तर्गत नयाँ कार्यसमिति (अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समन्वय परिषद्) को निर्वाचन हुनेछ।
महाधिवेशन सम्पन्न गर्न वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता गोपालकृष्ण घिमिरे, अधिवक्ता आशिष उप्रेती र सेवा निवृत्त मेजर डमर घले सदस्य रहेको निर्वाचन समिति गठन गरिएको छ। समितिमा अधिवक्ता लेख बहादुर खड्का सदस्य सचिवको भूमिकामा रहेका छन्।
उच्चस्तरीय समितिका अनुसार एकता महाधिवेशनका लागि करिब ३,२०० जनाले प्रतिनिधिका रूपमा आवेदन दिएका छन्। प्राप्त आवेदनहरूको छानबिन र प्रमाणीकरणको प्रक्रिया जारी रहेको समितिले जनाएको छ।
निर्वाचन समितिले सोमबार प्रकाशित गरेको प्रथम मतदाता नामावलीमा ६२५ जना प्रतिनिधिहरूको नाम समावेश गरिएको छ।
NRNA Election Committee Publishes Preliminary Voter List for Upcoming Unity Convention
Kathmandu – The Election Committee formed to conduct the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)’s Unity Convention has released the preliminary voter list for the upcoming election.
In a notice published on Monday, the committee announced the names of 625 delegates who have been deemed eligible to participate in the convention. The committee also stated that additional names will be published soon after further verification of the remaining applications.
The Unity Convention is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from May 3 to 5, 2025 (Baisakh 20–22), as mandated by the Supreme Court. During the convention, a new International Coordination Council (ICC) executive committee will be elected.
To facilitate this, a three-member Election Committee has been formed comprising senior advocate Gopal Krishna Ghimire, advocate Ashish Upreti, and retired Major Damar Ghale. Advocate Lekh Bahadur Khadka is serving as the member-secretary of the committee.
According to the high-level committee overseeing the convention, approximately 3,200 individuals have applied to participate as delegates. The committee is currently in the process of verifying and authenticating those applications.
The preliminary voter list published on Monday includes the names of 625 eligible delegates, with the full list expected to be updated shortly.
