काठमाडौं — दक्षिण कोरियामा रोजगारीका लागि पठाइदिन्छु भन्दै ठगी गर्ने मुना कार्की पक्राउ परेकी छन्।
काठमाडौं उपत्यका अपराध अनुसन्धान कार्यालय, टेकुले जारी गरेको प्रेस विज्ञप्तिअनुसार बेरोजगार युवायुवतीलाई आकर्षक तलबको लोभ देखाई रोजगारीका लागि दक्षिण कोरिया पठाइदिन्छु भनी लामो समयसम्म झुक्याएर विदेश नपठाई ठगी गरेको अभियोगमा मुना कार्कीलाई पक्राउ गरिएको हो।
कार्कीलाई काठमाडौं महानगरपालिका वडा नम्बर १२ क्षेत्रबाट पक्राउ गरी थप अनुसन्धान तथा कानुनी कारवाहीका लागि वैदेशिक रोजगार विभाग, ताहाचल, काठमाडौंमा पठाइएको कार्यालयले जनाएको छ।
५१ वर्षीया मुना कार्की मोरङ जिल्लाको कानेपोखरी गाउँपालिका वडा नम्बर २ की स्थायी बासिन्दा हुन्। हाल उनी काठमाडौं महानगरपालिका वडा नम्बर ३२ मा बसोबास गर्दै आएकी थिइन्।
उनले पीडितहरूबाट तीन लाख चालिस हजार रुपैयाँ (रु ३,४०,०००) ठगी गरेको प्रारम्भिक अनुसन्धानबाट खुलेको छ।
मुना कार्कीलाई २०८२ साल वैशाख १५ गते पक्राउ गरिएको हो। घटनासम्बन्धी थप अनुसन्धान भइरहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ।
Muna Karki Arrested for Defrauding Youths with Promises of Jobs in South Korea
Kathmandu — Muna Karki has been arrested for allegedly defrauding unemployed youths by falsely promising to send them for employment in South Korea.
According to a press release issued by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, Karki lured unemployed individuals with the promise of attractive salaries abroad and, after keeping them waiting for a long time without sending them abroad, allegedly swindled them out of money.
She was arrested from Ward No. 12 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and handed over to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Muna Karki, aged 51, is a permanent resident of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality, Ward No. 2, in Morang District. She was currently residing in Ward No. 32 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Initial investigations revealed that Karki defrauded victims of a total amount of NPR 340,000 (Three lakh forty thousand rupees).
She was arrested on 15th Baisakh 2082 B.S. (April 28, 2025). Police have stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
