काठमाडौं – गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघ (एनआरएनए) को यही वैशाख २० देखि २२ गतेसम्म (मे ३–५, २०२५) काठमाडौँमा आयोजना हुने एकता महाधिवेशनको उद्घाटनका लागि एनआरएनए उच्चस्तरीय समितिले राष्ट्रपति रामचन्द्र पौडेललाई निमन्त्रणा गरेको छ।
सोमबार बिहान राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयमा पुगेको उच्चस्तरीय समितिका सदस्यहरूले राष्ट्रपति पौडेललाई औपचारिक निमन्त्रणा दिएका हुन्। भेटका अवसरमा समितिकी सदस्यसचिव जानकी गुरुङले महाधिवेशनका तयारी अन्तिम चरणमा पुगेको जानकारी दिइन्। उनले झन्डै ३,२०० गैरआवासीय नेपालीहरूले डेलिगेट बन्न निवेदन दिएको जानकारी गराइन्। त्यस्तै, समितिकी सदस्यसचिव रबिना थापाले डेलिगेटहरू काठमाडौँ आउने क्रम सुरु भइसकेको बताइन्।
समितिका सदस्य कुल आचार्यले भने सम्मानित सर्वोच्च अदालतको परमादेशको सम्मान गर्दै एकता महाधिवेशन आयोजना गर्न लागेको जानकारी दिए। उनले महाधिवेशनबारे विभिन्न भ्रम फैलाउने प्रयास भइरहेको भए पनि तोकिएको मितिमै अधिवेशन सम्पन्न हुने स्पष्ट पारे।
निमन्त्रणा ग्रहणपछि राष्ट्रपति पौडेलले सर्वोच्च अदालतको परमादेशको मर्म र भावना अनुसार महाधिवेशन सञ्चालन गर्न सुझाव दिए। उनले कानुनी राज्यमा कानुन कार्यान्वयन गर्ने सन्दर्भमा सबै पक्ष एक ठाउँमा उभिएर एकताको सन्देश दिन जरुरी रहेको बताए।
उच्चस्तरीय समिति सदस्य कुल आचार्यका अनुसार वैशाख २० गते काठमाडौँको होटेल हायातमा हुने उद्घाटन सत्रमा राष्ट्रपति पौडेलले सहभागी भई उद्घाटन गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएका छन्।
राष्ट्रपति भेटमा उच्चस्तरीय समितिका सदस्यहरू गुरुङ, आचार्य र थापा साथै अभियन्ताहरू चिन्तामणि सापकोटा, बुद्धि सुवेदी, कुन्दन कार्की, दीपेश खत्री लगायत सहभागी थिए।
NRNA High-Level Committee Invites President Paudel for the Inauguration of the Unity Convention
Kathmandu – The High-Level Committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has officially invited President Ramchandra Paudel to inaugurate the NRNA Unity Convention, scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from Baisakh 20 to 22 (May 3–5, 2025).
On Monday morning, members of the High-Level Committee visited the President’s Office to formally extend the invitation. During the meeting, Committee Secretary Janaki Gurung informed President Paudel that preparations for the convention were in their final stages. She also shared that nearly 3,200 non-resident Nepalis had applied to participate as delegates. Similarly, Secretary Rabina Thapa stated that delegates had already begun arriving in Kathmandu.
Committee member Kul Acharya emphasized that the convention was being organized in full compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive and that despite various misleading narratives circulating, the event would proceed as scheduled.
Upon receiving the invitation, President Paudel advised the committee to conduct the convention in the spirit and intent of the Supreme Court’s directive. Stressing the importance of upholding the rule of law, he urged all stakeholders to unite and send a message of solidarity.
According to committee member Acharya, President Paudel has committed to attending and inaugurating the opening session of the convention, which will be held at Hotel Hyatt in Kathmandu on Baisakh 20.
The delegation that met President Paudel included committee members Gurung, Acharya, and Thapa, along with activists Chintamani Sapkota, Buddhi Subedi, Kundan Karki, and Dipesh Khatri.
