काठमाडौं । सहकारी ठगी तथा सङ्गठित अपराधसम्बन्धी मुद्दामा फरार रहेकी माया राई पक्राउ परेकी छन्।

२०७९ साल बैशाख १३ गते सुमन खनालसहितको जाहेरीका आधारमा वादी नेपाल सरकार र प्रतिवादी स्वर्णलक्ष्मी बहुउद्देश्यीय सहकारी संस्था लिमिटेडका अध्यक्ष गितेन्द्र बाबु राईसहितमाथि ठगी र सङ्गठित अपराधसम्बन्धी मुद्दा दर्ता भएको थियो। उक्त मुद्दामा फरार रहिएकी जिल्ला भोजपुर, हतुवागढी गाउँपालिका–४ साचकी घर भई हाल काठमाडौं, बुढानिलकण्ठ नगरपालिका–१०, शिव मन्दिर कपन बस्ने ४६ वर्षीया माया राईलाई जिल्ला प्रहरी परिसर काठमाडौंबाट खटिएको प्रहरी टोलीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको हो।

पक्राउ गरेपछि काठमाडौं जिल्ला अदालतबाट तीन दिनको म्याद थप अनुमति लिइ अनुसन्धान भइरहेको प्रहरीले जानकारी दिएको छ।

Fugitive Defendant in Cooperative Fraud and Organized Crime Case Arrested

Kathmandu – Maya Rai, a fugitive defendant in a cooperative fraud and organized crime case, has been arrested.

Based on a complaint filed by Suman Khanal and others on 13th Baisakh 2082, a case of fraud and organized crime was registered against Gitendra Babu Rai, the chairman and operator of Swarnalaxmi Multipurpose Cooperative Limited, and others.

Maya Rai, a 46-year-old resident of Sachki, Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality–4, Bhojpur, currently living in Shiv Mandir, Kapan, Budhanilkantha Municipality–10, Kathmandu, was apprehended by a police team deployed from the Kathmandu District Police Office.

Following her arrest, the Kathmandu District Court granted a three-day extension for investigation, and further inquiries are underway, police confirmed.
