काठमाडौँ । नेपाली कांग्रेसका महामन्त्री विश्वप्रकाश शर्माले गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघ (एनआरएनए) मा देखिएको पछिल्लो विवाद समाधानका लागि सर्वपक्षीय छलफल आवश्यक रहेको बताएका छन्। बिहीबार साँझ कांग्रेस सभापति शेरबहादुर देउवासँग गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघका अध्यक्ष डा. बद्री केसी नेतृत्वको प्रतिनिधिमण्डलको भेटपछि महामन्त्री शर्माले सर्वपक्षीय छलफलको माध्यमबाट समस्या समाधानको पहल गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गरेका हुन्।
भेटका क्रममा डा. केसी र संघका उपाध्यक्ष डा. हेमराज शर्माले पछिल्लो अवस्थाबारे जानकारी गराउँदै गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिकता वितरण भए पनि कार्यान्वयनमा समस्या रहेको भन्दै सरकारको ध्यानाकर्षण गराएका थिए। डा. केसीले गैरआवासीय नेपाली ऐन चाँडो ल्याउनुपर्ने माग समेत राखे। उपाध्यक्ष डा. शर्माले संविधानमा आर्थिक अधिकार र पैतृक सम्पत्ति सम्बन्धी अस्पष्टता रहेको भन्दै त्यसलाई समाधान गर्न ऐन आवश्यक भएको बताए।
महामन्त्री शर्माले अब बस्ने संसद् बैठकमार्फत गैरआवासीय नेपाली ऐन प्रक्रियामा ल्याई पूर्णता दिने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएका छन्।
भेटमा अध्यक्ष डा. बद्री केसी, उपाध्यक्ष डा. हेमराज शर्मा, रोजिना प्रधान राई, सचिव राधिका (टीका) गुरुङ, संघका सिइओ राजेन्द्र कुमार राउत र अधिकृत कुनाल मिश्राको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।
General Secretary Sharma: We Will Initiate an All-Party Discussion to Resolve the Dispute
Kathmandu – Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma has stressed the need for an all-party discussion to resolve the recent disputes seen within the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). During a meeting held on Thursday evening with a delegation led by NRNA President Dr. Badri KC and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Sharma pledged to initiate efforts to solve the issues through collective dialogue.
During the meeting, Dr. KC and Vice President Dr. Hemraj Sharma briefed about the current situation, drawing attention to the government’s delay in implementing the Non-Resident Nepali citizenship distribution, despite it being issued more than a year and a half ago. Dr. KC also urged the prompt enactment of the Non-Resident Nepali Act. Vice President Dr. Sharma highlighted that ambiguities remain regarding the constitutional rights of Nepalis living abroad, such as economic rights and inheritance of ancestral property, necessitating clear legal provisions.
In response, General Secretary Sharma assured that the upcoming parliamentary session would move forward with the legislative process to complete the enactment of the Non-Resident Nepali Act.
Present at the meeting were President Dr. Badri KC, Vice Presidents Dr. Hemraj Sharma and Rozina Pradhan Rai, Secretary Radhika (Tika) Gurung, NRNA CEO Rajendra Kumar Raut, and Officer Kunal Mishra.
