भक्तपुर – भक्तपुरको मध्यपुर थिमि सहकारीले मातातीर्थ औंशीको अवसरमा समाजप्रति उत्तरदायित्व कार्यक्रम अन्तर्गत आमाहरूको संयुक्त मुख हेर्ने कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरेको छ।
संस्थामा आवद्ध ६० वर्ष पुगेका ५७ जना आमाहरूलाई पूर्वीय संस्कार अनुसार टिका लगाई उपहार प्रदान गरी सम्मान गरिएको संस्थाका सचिव अनिल श्रेष्ठले जानकारी दिनुभयो। “जिवित भगवान रुपी आमाहरूको सम्मान, सभ्य समाजको पहिचान” भन्ने नारासहित कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरिएको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा मध्यपुर थिमि नगरपालिका वडा नम्बर ५ का वडाध्यक्ष बालकृष्ण श्रेष्ठले जेष्ठ नागरिक आमाहरूलाई सहकारी क्षेत्रमा देखिएका विचलनहरूप्रति सचेत रहन आग्रह गर्नुभयो। उहाँले सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व बहन गर्दै वार्षिक साधारण सभा गर्ने, सदस्यहरूप्रति जवाफदेही रहने र सहकारी नीतिअनुसार सञ्चालन भइरहेका संस्थाहरूमा कम समस्याहरू देखिएको उल्लेख गर्नुभयो।
कार्यक्रममा करिब ३० हजार सहकारी संस्थामध्ये केही संस्थाहरूको गलत नियतका कारण सम्पूर्ण सहकारी अभियान नकारात्मक असरमा परेको तीतो यथार्थ विषयमा समेत छलफल गरिएको थियो।

Madhyapur Thimi Cooperative Honors Mothers on Matatirtha Aunsi
Bhaktapur – Madhyapur Thimi Cooperative in Bhaktapur organized a collective Mother’s Day program under its social responsibility initiative on the occasion of Matatirtha Aunsi.
According to Anil Shrestha, the secretary of the cooperative, 57 mothers aged 60 and above who are affiliated with the organization were honored with traditional tika and gifts, upholding the slogan “Honoring Living God-like Mothers, a Mark of a Civilized Society.”
Speaking at the event, Ward Chairperson of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-5, Bal Krishna Shrestha, emphasized that not all cooperatives should be viewed through the same lens. He urged senior citizens to remain vigilant regarding the irregularities recently seen in financial institutions.
He also highlighted that cooperatives engaged in social work, holding annual general meetings, operating under cooperative policies, and being accountable to their members, faced comparatively fewer problems.
The program also discussed the bitter reality that among Nepal’s nearly 30,000 cooperatives, the misconduct of a few has negatively impacted the overall cooperative movement.
