धनकुटा (सङ्गुरीगढी) — खानेपानी मन्त्री प्रदीप यादवले नेपाली नागरिकका घर–घरमा स्वच्छ र शुद्ध खानेपानी पुर्याउने सरकारको प्रमुख लक्ष्य रहेको बताएका छन्।
आज धनकुटा स्थित बुढीमोरङ बृहत् लिफ्टिङ खानेपानी तथा सरसफाइ आयोजना शिलान्यास गर्दै मन्त्री यादवले देशभरका दुर्गम, ग्रामीण तथा पिछडिएका क्षेत्रहरूमा गुणस्तरीय खानेपानी सेवा पुर्याउन सरकार प्रतिबद्ध रहेको बताए।
“आजको शिलान्यासले सङ्गुरीगढी गाउँपालिकाका वडा नं. १ र २ का बासिन्दाहरूका लागि स्वच्छ र गुणस्तरीय पानीको पहुँच सुनिश्चित गर्दै नयाँ युगको सुरुवात गरेको छ,” मन्त्री यादवले भने।
उहाँले आयोजनाले दीर्घकालीन सपना साकार पार्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गर्दै संघीय, प्रदेश र स्थानीय सरकारबीच समन्वयमा योजना कार्यान्वयन भइरहेको बताए। सह–लगानी मोडेललाई ८५/१५ मा परिमार्जन गरिएको र विकट समुदायमा विशेष प्राथमिकता दिइएको समेत जानकारी गराए।
कार्यक्रममा खानेपानी मन्त्रालयका सतिव इञ्जिनियर प्रमिलादेवी शाक्य बज्राचार्यले आयोजनाले देशभरिका खानेपानीका जटिल समस्या समाधान गर्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गरिन्। खानेपानी तथा ढल व्यवस्थापन विभागका महानिर्देशक इञ्जिनियर रामकुमार श्रेष्ठले यो आयोजना साङ्गुरीगढीवासीको स्वास्थ्य, सम्मान र समृद्ध जीवनशैलीको यात्रामा महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिने बताए।
काम्फुवा खोलाबाट लिफ्टिङ प्रविधिबाट पानी आपूर्ति गरिने उक्त आयोजनाबाट ४६४ घरधुरी र २,२१३ जनसंख्या लाभान्वित हुने छ।
आयोजनाको कुल लागत ७ करोड २१ लाख ७७ हजार ७३७ रुपैयाँ रहेको छ। सरकारले ९० प्रतिशत तथा समुदायले १० प्रतिशत योगदान गर्नेछ। आवश्यक पम्प हाउस, ब्रेक प्रेसर ट्याङ्की, इलेक्ट्रिकल ट्रान्समिशन लाइन, भल्भ चेम्बर जस्ता संरचनाहरू निर्माण गरिने छन्।
शिलान्यास कार्यक्रममा सङ्गुरीगढी गाउँपालिकाका जनप्रतिनिधि, राजनीतिक दलका नेता, कर्मचारी र स्थानीय बासिन्दाहरूको उपस्थिति थियो।

Foundation Stone Laid for Budhimorang Lift Drinking Water Project in Dhankuta; Minister Yadav Vows to Ensure Access to Clean Water
Dhankuta (Sangurigadhi) — Minister for Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav has stated that ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water for every household in Nepal remains a top priority for the government.
Laying the foundation stone for the Budhimorang Lift Drinking Water and Sanitation Project today in Dhankuta, Minister Yadav emphasized the government’s commitment to providing quality water services, especially in remote and marginalized areas across the country.
“Today’s ceremony marks the beginning of a new era by ensuring access to clean and quality drinking water for the residents of Wards 1 and 2 of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality,” Minister Yadav said.
He also noted that the project represents a concrete step towards fulfilling the long-standing dreams of the local population, highlighting the coordination among federal, provincial, and local governments as mandated by the Constitution.
Minister Yadav announced that the co-investment model has been revised to an 85/15 structure to make participation easier and more community-friendly, especially for remote and marginalized communities.
Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya, Senior Engineer at the Ministry of Drinking Water, expressed confidence that projects like Budhimorang would soon resolve complex drinking water issues nationwide. Director General of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, Engineer Ram Kumar Shrestha, said that this project would significantly contribute to the health, dignity, and prosperous lifestyle of Sangurigadhi residents.
The project will supply water from Kamphuwa River using lift technology, benefiting 464 households and 2,213 individuals directly.
The total project cost is NPR 72,177,737, with 90% funded by the government and 10% contributed by the local community. Key infrastructures such as pump houses, break pressure tanks, electrical transmission lines, and valve chambers are included in the project design.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by local representatives, political leaders, government officials, and residents of Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality.
