पोखरा । पोखरा महानगरपालिका–२८ र कृषि सञ्जालको आयोजनामा कृषि गीत प्रतियोगिता, बाली उपचार शिविर तथा रैथानी बाली प्रदर्शनी कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ। कार्यक्रममा आयोजित कृषि गीत प्रतियोगितामा मातृशिशु कृषि समूह प्रथम भएको छ। यस्तै काफलघारी पिपलडाली कृषक समूह दोस्रो, विमीरापानी कृषक समूह तेस्रो र स्याङ्खुदी कृषक समूहले सान्त्वना स्थान हासिल गरेका छन्।
प्रथम, दोस्रो, तेस्रो र सान्त्वना स्थान प्राप्त गर्ने समूहहरूले क्रमशः २० हजार, १५ हजार, १० हजार र ५ हजार रुपैयाँ नगद पुरस्कार प्राप्त गरेका छन्। भेषभूषा तर्फ कालिका महिला कृषक समूह उत्कृष्ट ठहरिँदै ५ हजार रुपैयाँ नगद पुरस्कार हात पारेको छ।
कार्यक्रमका प्रमुख अतिथि पोखरा महानगरपालिकाका प्रमुख धनराज आचार्य, वडाध्यक्ष श्रीकृष्ण लामिछाने, वडासदस्य तथा अन्य विशिष्ट अतिथिहरूले पुरस्कार वितरण गरेका थिए। प्रतियोगितामा १५ वटा कृषक समूहहरूको सहभागिता रहेको थियो।
यस अवसरमा बाली उपचार शिविर सञ्चालन गरिएको थियो, जहाँ वडाका कृषकहरूले नगदे बालीका समस्या बारे प्राविधिकहरूसँग परामर्श लिएका थिए र उपचार सम्बन्धी औषधि वितरण गरिएको थियो। साथै, धान, मकै, जौँ लगायतका स्थानीय बालीहरूको बिउबिजन प्रदर्शनी गरिएको थियो।
कार्यक्रममा पोखरा महानगरका प्रमुख धनराज आचार्यले महानगरले कृषि तथा पशुपालन क्षेत्रलाई दीर्घकालीन योजनाअन्तर्गत विस्तार गरिरहेको जानकारी दिए। आर्थिक विकास महाशाखा प्रमुख मनहर कडरीयाले वडामा कृषि विविधता उच्च रहेको उल्लेख गरे। कृषि ज्ञान केन्द्र कास्कीका प्रमुख किरण सिग्देलले स्थानीय बाली जोगाउनुपर्ने आवश्यकता औंल्याए।
वडाध्यक्ष श्रीकृष्ण लामिछानेले ग्रामीण वडाका रूपमा कृषि उत्पादन वृद्धिका लागि वडाले विभिन्न कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गरेको बताए। कृषि सञ्जाल पोखरा–२८ का अध्यक्ष राधाकृष्ण तिवारीले वडामा २० वटा कृषक समूह क्रियाशील रहेको जानकारी दिँदै किसानहरूको आवाजलाई सरकारी नीतिसँग जोड्न पहल भइरहेको उल्लेख गरे।
कार्यक्रममा नेपाली कांग्रेसका नेता कृष्णबहादुर केसी, प्याब्सन उपाध्यक्ष विरबहादुर बुढाथोकी, लेखनाथ उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ महासचिव जानुका पराजुली, वडासदस्य डाल्ला देवी भुजेल र विरेन्द्र भण्डारी, नेकपा एमाले वडा–२८ का उपाध्यक्ष लक्ष्मी पौडेल, साना किसान कृषि सहकारी माझठानाका उपाध्यक्ष सिताराम तिवारीलगायतले मन्तव्य व्यक्त गरेका थिए।

Agricultural Song Competition Concludes in Pokhara-28; Matrishishu Agricultural Group Wins First Prize
Pokhara — The Agricultural Song Competition, Crop Treatment Camp, and Indigenous Crop Exhibition organized by Pokhara Metropolitan City–28 and Krishi Sanjal (Agricultural Network) concluded successfully. In the Agricultural Song Competition, Matrishishu Agricultural Group secured the first position. Similarly, Kafalghari Pipaladali Farmers’ Group came second, Bimirapani Farmers’ Group third, and Syangkhudi Farmers’ Group received the consolation prize.
The first, second, third, and consolation prize winners received cash prizes of NPR 20,000, 15,000, 10,000, and 5,000 respectively. In addition, Kalika Women Farmers’ Group won the best attire award and received NPR 5,000 cash prize.
Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Dhanraj Acharya, Ward Chairman Shreekrishna Lamichhane, ward members, and other distinguished guests distributed prizes to the winners. Altogether, 15 farmers’ groups participated in the competition.
Along with the competition, a crop treatment camp was held where farmers consulted with technical experts regarding problems in cash crops, and medicines were distributed after diagnosis. An exhibition showcasing local crop seeds like rice, maize, and barley was also organized at the venue.
Speaking at the event, Mayor Dhanraj Acharya informed that the metropolitan city is advancing agriculture and livestock with long-term plans. Chief of the Economic Development Division, Manahar Kadariya, highlighted the agricultural diversity of Ward 28. Chief of the Agricultural Knowledge Center Kaski, Kiran Sigdel, stressed the importance of preserving local crop varieties.
Ward Chairman Shreekrishna Lamichhane stated that various programs are being conducted to boost agricultural production in the rural ward. Radha Krishna Tiwari, President of Krishi Sanjal Pokhara–28, mentioned that there are 20 active farmers’ groups in the ward, and efforts are being made to link farmers’ voices with government policies.
Leaders and representatives including Krishna Bahadur KC from Nepali Congress, Bir Bahadur Budhathoki (Vice President of PABSON), Januka Parajuli (General Secretary of Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry), ward members Dalla Devi Bhujel and Birendra Bhandari, Laxmi Paudel (Vice President of CPN-UML Ward 28), and Sitaram Tiwari (Vice President of Sana Kisan Agricultural Cooperative Majhthana) also addressed the event.
