Kathmandu, July 12 – Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has termed the Supreme Court’s verdict on HoR dissolution as a historic one. “The verdict is historic. The verdict has come as per the provision of the Constitution of Nepal. People’s aspiration has been respected,” Speaker Sapkota told RSS.

Speaker Sapkota also said that the Constitution has made some unique provisions and their clear interpretation is reflected in the verdict.
The SC’s verdict mentioned to summon the HoR meeting within seven days.

Furthermore, Speaker Sapkota has stated that the verdict was victory of Nepalis and democracy. “The verdict has multidimensional impact,” he added. As a chief of the people’s representative institution, Speaker Sapkota said he would welcome the verdict and would work to make the HoR further pro-people and effective. (RSS)
