Gandaki, July 6 – Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali, has said that his government has initiated endeavours to bring prosperity to the province people. Organizing a press conference at the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Minister on Tuesday, CM Nepali made a commitment that he would make utmost efforts to realize the people’s aspiration for prosperity with their cooperation.
He shared that the province government would get full shape after passing the budget. On the occasion, government spokesperson and Minister for Science Technology and Social Development, Kumar Khadka, viewed the government was able to bring the policy and programmes and budget. The discussion on budget would begin in the Province Assembly meeting. “We’ve prepared documents and planning the passage of the budget on July 14 after deliberations,” he said, adding that government was aware that budget would not be misused though some budget was transferred to another heading for the public welfare purpose. The heads of the ministries were directed not to act against rule, he shared.
On the occasion, he also shared information about the decisions the government had taken recently. The urban development section of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructures was given authority to set criteria for the management of residence to the Cabinet Members and Secretaries. A taskforce has been formed under coordination of Health Minister Madhumaya Adhikari for the disaster management and rapid response. The taskforce has the members- Ministers without portfolio Harisharan Acharya and Rajiv Gurung, Law Secretary and Undersecretary at Office of Chief Minister and Council of Minister, Rameshwor Aryal.
Similarly, the Cabinet decided to appoint Khadga Bahadur Kumal as political advisor to the Chief Minister. Kumal is a resident of Pulingtar Rural Municipality-3 of Nawalparasi. A resident of Putalilbazar Municipality-13 of Syangja, Bharat Koirala has been appointed press coordinator of the Chief Minister.The Cabinet named Dr Khim Bahadur Khadka as Director of the Health Directorate, according to government spokesperson Khadka.
