Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said he won’t make any compromise with others on the issues of protection of religion and cultures. At a programme organized at Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Biratnagar on Tuesday, the newly-elected House of Representatives Member Koirala called for policy formulation from the state for the promotion and development of Gurukul education.
Language, religion, arts and cultures are symbols of civilization and the nation’s pillars, Dr Koirala observed.
“It is the state’s responsibility to protect and promote these treasures. I will stand firm in the parliament for the protection of religion and cultures,” he promised.
Leader Koirala also stated that country’s development is unlikely without good-governance.
Newly-elected Province Assembly Members Amrit Aryal, Kedar Karki, Bhim Parajuli and National Assembly Member Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi were also present on the occasion.
