Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said the upcoming elections are both opportunities and challenges for the present coalition to stabilise democracy and alleviate poverty in the country. There is a need for the alliance to unite, he said.
“All can be accommodated in the constitution. There is a need for the coalition to come together for the polls as there is no such context wherein a single party can get majority votes,” he said at an election training session organised here by the left democratic alliance, Kathmandu constituency 2. He also stressed the need for strengthening democracy in the country.
