The Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ instructed his party cadres and leaders to work actively for the upcoming November 20 election to the Provincial Assembly and House of Representatives (HoR).
Addressing a programme organized by the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary) close to CPN (Maoist Centre) here Wednesday, Chairperson Dahal directed them to concentrate on the upcoming election and to make aware people about the works done by the party.
Dahal, also the former Prime Minister, further asserted that the key objective of his party was to embark on a journey to socialism by reforming electoral system and governance and formulating the laws as stipulated in the constitution.
During the programme, a host of election-centric programmes were unveiled. Dahal-led party is currently one among the five parties in the coalition government led by the Nepali Congress.
He asked his party cadres and leaders to establish the recognition of the party among the people. His party had fulfilled the people-oriented revolution in its own original way and assured that a new phase of socialist revolution had begun and his party had the responsibilities in its shoulder to lead the socialist revolution, Chairperson Dahal reminded.
Moreover, Dahal said the Maoist Centre had plans to development and prosperity. Similarly, Deputy General-Secretary of the party and Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma directed party cadres and leaders to reach out to people at their doorsteps with a clear agenda of the party including socialism and implementation of constitution. He emphasized that the student unions should move forward towards implementation of the scientific and technical education.
Secretaries of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Leelamani Pokharel and Hitman Shakya univocally underscored the need to be fully focused on the upcoming elections. The 99-members revolutionary force led by Amar Jung Shahi, Vice-President of the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary), has been formed to work in the best interest of the party for the upcoming elections. Union’s President Pancha Singha informed that a 25-member central election mobilization committee was formed in view of the upcoming elections.
