Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC), Dhanraj Acharya, said time has come to enhance quality of education in Pokhara for the production of qualified human resources.At a programme organized to mark the diamond jubilee of the Bindhyabasini Secondary School here Monday, Mayor Acharya reminded that there was a huge investment by the State on education sector. So, there is no option but to make collective efforts for boosting quality of education in the community schools, he stressed.
Reform in country’s education sector is imperative also to control the exodus of qualified human resources, he said, adding that technical education is equally important for Nepalis to generate knowledge, skills and employment.
He expressed happiness over the best performance of Bindhyabasini Secondary School, which the Mayor believed, would earn prestige to Pokhara Valley and Gandaki Province.
On the occasion, Chairperson at Ward No 16 of PMC, Amrit Timilsina, said he was aware about the problems facing the school. He would extend support from his side to solve schools’ problems.
