Gandaki, June 6 – Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the COVID-19 pandemic could be controlled only through the collective efforts. Inaugurating the oxygen plant established at Lamjung district hospital on Sunday, he laid emphasis on collective efforts of three-tier of governments to control the pandemic.

He urged the medical unit to work hard with high morale to defeat the pandemic. Gurung also said that they were initiating to establish the PCR machine in the hospital.

The Hospital Chief Hemanta Shrestha claimed that they were working round the clock to treat the COVID patients adding that 87 infected patients have received the treatment in the hospital and 69 of them returned home after complete recovery while two others succumbed to the virus.Similarly, 15 infected patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital and of them 9 are in oxygen support there.
