The meeting of chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur on Thursday decided to shut down all the museums in the Kathmandu Valley from Saturday in view of growing risk of COVID-19. The museums that were being run till date adhering to health safety measures would be shut down temporarily from Friday midnight 12, according to Hanumandhoka Durbar Museum Chief, Sandeep Khanal.
The National Museum, the Narayanhiti Palace Museum, and the museums in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur would be closed for visitors. Government recently decided to shut down all the public offices as well as places drawing a large group of people have been decided to shut down to prevent and control new variant of COVID-19 that is pervasive in the country.The museums will be closed until further notice, according to the statement released by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.
