Sudurpaschim, Jan 18-Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Trilochan Bhatta has said investment friendly atmosphere could be created by guaranteeing security and clearing legal hurdles.At an interaction organized with the NRNA officials including its President, CM Bhatta however viewed investment friendly atmosphere could not be prepared for lack of uniform model of development and investment in Nepal.
Tourism, agriculture, energy and industry are some areas of investment, he said, adding, “Although Sudurpaschim government is committed to creating favourable atmosphere for investment, no investment was made by any side here.” He thanked NRNA for its assistance to Nepal, especially the Sudurpaschim Province.
On the occasion, Minister for Economic Affairs at province, Tara Lama Tamang, and Minister for Physical Infrastructures Development, Dirgha Bahadur Sodari hoped the NRNA would extend assistance for the development in Sudurpaschim Province.
NRNA Chairperson Kumar Pant said the organization had aimed at utilizing the knowledge and skills generated abroad in the mother country. He reminded that it was NRNA to send relief materials after the country was hit hard by COVID-19. He also shared that efforts were underway to make investment of Rs 10 billion in Nepal.Also speaking on the occasion were former Chairperson of NRNA, Jiba Lamichhane, Chief Secretary of Nepal government, Leela Mani Poudel, and journalist Dirgharaj Upadhyay.
