This article , I am writing from my isolation room after testing Covid -19 (Omicron positive ) hoping to give valuable messages to all from this article!
I have mild symptons. I did not ignore & immediately went for testing & now I am isolating for myself at least 10 days & retesting after 5 days! Per CDC USA guidelines now isolations down to 5 days.
How long covid-19 & it’s variants will last ?
Surprisingly even after 2 yrs still we are struggling to take control of Covid-19? Thanks to vaccines, it’s much safer than before, however to have herd immunity and control pandemic about 70% of the populations of the world must be vaccinated.
In the case of USA 200 millions of the population must be vaccinated say in case of Nepal about 21 millions of the population must be vaccinated.
Until then people need to take all kind precautions & have awareness and so as concern authorities and government must be working continuously on it.
A new twist by Omicron:
We had Alpha, Beeta, Gamma, Delta AU4.2, MU, Lambda and now Omicron are under monitoring.
Among those variants of covid-19 Delta variant devasted India and other countries.
After taking control of Delta World thought , we will have full control of covid-19 but Omicron from South Africa spreading really fast & out of control now luckily it is weak comparatively Delta and initial covid-19 & vaccines are working.
Omicron in USA:
Unbelievable facts about Omicron in USA about 306, 000 people infected daily and about 88,000 covid patients admitted daily in USA. Entire USA is out of control by Omicron variant luckily vaccinated people are about 64% of the total populations and pretty close to get herd immunity. That is the only reason death rate is still low about 1300/day in USA. Most sever cases are found on those , who are not vaccinated. People with Omicron variants in USA, one who are vaccinated getting only mild symptons.
Here is the testimonial report of the omicron variants & symptons:
In New York, where cases continue to surge, an ER doctor who became known on social media during the pandemic for his documentation of the battle against COVID, reported breakthrough cases he has seen in those with booster shots experienced “mild” symptoms.
“By mild I mean mostly sore throat. Lots of sore throat,” Craig Spencer wrote on Twitter. “Also some fatigue, maybe some muscle pain. No difficulty breathing. No shortness of breath. All a little uncomfortable, but fine.”
Cases in people who were fully vaccinated with either Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccine, but not boosted, remained mild, but slightly more intense.
“More fatigued. More fever. More coughing. A little more miserable overall. But no shortness of breath. No difficulty breathing,” he wrote.
For those with Johnson & Johnson who were not boosted, he wrote the patients “felt horrible,” with fevers, fatigue, coughs and shortness of breath, but did not require hospitalization or oxygen.
In the unvaccinated, however, the symptoms were more severe.
“Almost every single patient that I’ve taken care of that needed to be admitted for Covid has been unvaccinated,” Spencer wrote. “Every one with profound shortness of breath. Every one whose oxygen dropped when they walked. Every one needing oxygen to breath regularly.”
Dr. Angelique Coetzee, the South African doctor who first raised the alarm over the new strain, told the BBC that she started to see patients around Nov.18 presenting with “unusual symptoms” that differed slightly to those associated with the delta variant.
Solutions to protect from Covid-19 & It’s variants:
Other solutions:
People, who are not vaccinated are still under vulnerable conditions.
Timely testing helps to minimize or bring to zero contact tracing, However there shall be free testing facilities supported by government. So that everyone will have free access for covid testing.
Let’s cooperate working together as stated above save yourself & others.
It has to continue till herd immunity will develop in communities, countries & world.
Warning on Omicron:
This variant very easy to spread in communities countries. Countries say, where people are vaccinated less than 30-40% such as Nepal, India and many countries are still in vulnerable conditions.
In my opinion those countries are in grave danger, so need to act fast and provide vaccines with a target to make available for the 70% of the arms of the people of those countries as soon as possible.
Omicron is spreading extremly fast as we all know soon we will be seeing its impact in many countries.
Good news is we know what can be done & how people can be protected ?
We know what is coming too ?
So it’s an urgent to act by the government & concern authorities of the concern countries to protect their people otherwise it will be too late & fatal consequences are still imminent!
