CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that his party was the mainstream of communist movement.
At a programme to announce the merger of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and Ratsriya Jagaran Parishad Nepal today, chairperson Nepal shared that he had played substantial role in establishing Coordination Centre in 2032 BS, Marxist Leninist (ML) in 2035 BS, CPN-UML in 2047 BS and CPN (Unified Socialist) now in course of institutionalizing communist parties. He recalled the long and untiring journey for the people’s rights following the establishment of a communist party under Pushpalal leadership.
Claiming that he had discharged crucial role in keeping high the nation’s national independence and safeguarding democratic values, former Prime Minister Nepal pointed out the need of socialist thinking to address the problems facing the Nepali people. Making it clear that his party’s main goal is ‘from people to people’, leader Nepal further said his party’s plan was to ease the livelihood of the fellow Nepali people and enhance their economic status.
General secretary of the CPN (UIS), Beduram Bhusal said they are in a campaign to build an unified and strong communist force by uniting the like-minded left parties. Parishad Chair Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari appreciated the CPN (US) terming its manifesto scientific. He said he wanted to contribute towards building welfare state.
