Kathmandu, May 30 – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index on Sunday reached all time high with 2,827 points as the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2021/22 was presented yesterday. The transaction volume surpassed Rs 17 billion. Likewise, the sensitive index also increased 3.35 points to stand at 507.05. Over 2.6 million shares of the total 219 companies were traded at over Rs 17.2 billion.
Of the total 13 subgroups, seven posted gains and six decreased. Banking sector gained points, Hotel and Tourism 135.44, Development Bank 255.25, Finance 83.91, Non-Life Insurance 64.12, Life Insurance 96.01 and Mutual Fund 0.55. Likewise, trading sector decreased 32.67 points, hydropower 0.66, production 5.31, others 54.64 and nvestment 0.27. (RSS)
