Doti – Medical goods provided by Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale have reached the district.
The medical equipment used in the treatment of COVID-19 patients include medicines used to treat infected people, 75 filled oxygen cylinders, 150 thousand surgical masks, three oxygen concentrators, 30 HDU beds, antigen kits and sanitisers, said the minister’s personal secretary Hemanta Regmi. “The HDU beds have been supplied in government grant and other medical equipment have been purchased by the minister on his own,” he said.

The minister’s assistance has been of a great help to treat infected people, said medical superintendent at the district hospital, Krishna Raj Joshi. The donated medical equipment are worth over Rs 10 million. Likewise, the minister has provided 50 filled oxygen cylinders, 50 thousand facemasks, antigen kits, surgical masks and sanitisers to Far West Provincial Hospital, Kailali. The medical equipment provided by the minister would be distributed at all nine local units in the district today itself, it has been said.
