Gandaki, July 1 – Chief of Gandaki Province Sita Kumari Poudel has committed her support to strengthening the capacity of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), the National News Agency.In a meeting with her by the RSS chairman Harihar Adhikari ‘Shyamal’ and general manager Siddharaj Rai today at her official residence in Pokhara, province chief Poudel opined that the national news agency was linking the people and state through the dissemination of news.

Chief Poudel opined that the media should be responsible to disseminate the fact based news. She also worried on the excessive misuse of social media of late. She said that the Gandaki Province will support RSS to extend its services and capacity.

Similarly, chairman Adhikari shared that the RSS has its network in all 77 districts and is effortful to reach voices of people to the State and the latter’s message to people.On the occasion, general manager Rai shared that the RSS was preparing to construct a new office building after dismantling the old building in Pokhara. He also assured that the RSS was enhancing its quality of late.(RSS)
