Central member of Nepali Congress and candidate for Member of House of Representatives of Nawalpur constituency No. 1, Dr Shashank Koirala has said that the problem of Bhrikuti paper mills and workers will be solved after the election. Addressing an election rally held in Gandakot, he said the problem concerning biggest paper factory of the country, the Bhrikuti Paper Mills, will be solved soon after the election.
Leader Koirala shared that a committee had been formed to advise the government on the ailing industry, which suggested that the land of Bhrikuti Paper Mills should be returned to the ownership of the government. After 31 years of privatization the government is trying to take back the land where the Mills is situated. “The land will be brought to use after discussion with the locals”, he said. On the occasion, he said a majority is necessary for political stability and if the party wins a majority it will spearhead development with stability.
Mentioning that he has come forward to represent the people of Nawalpur for the fourth time, leader Koirala said the previous terms were spent in the work of constitution making and implementation, and now the focus will be socio-economic transformation.
