Community Health Units have come into operation at Dichyam and Dukhu of Malika rural municipality-6 in Myagdi district from Thursday.
Malika rural municipality brought the community health units into operation for Dichyam and Dukhu folks as the locals of these two areas were facing problems to reach Primary Health Centre located at Darnag to receive health services due to geographical difficulties.
Chairperson of Malika rural municipality-6, Path Bahadur Roka shared that health assistant and office-assistant have been appointed in both health units.
He said, “Different health services including health examine, counseling and free medicine will be provided from the health units.”
With the operation of health units, a problem to walk up to three hours to reach Darbang to get health service even after suffering from a minor illness has ended. Dichyam has 137 households while 102 families are residing at Dukhu.
Local are happy with the availability of basic health services at their villages.
