The Bharatpur Metropolitan City has unveiled the estimates of annual income and expenditure (budget) of Rs 5 billion 744 million 256 thousand for the fiscal year 2022/23. Deputy mayor Chitrasen Adhikari presented the budget in the 11th Municipal Assembly of the metropolis today.
The budget has projected to mobilize Rs 1.50 billion from internal income, Rs 1 billion 921 million 129 thousand from inter-government transfers, Rs 533 million 127 thousand to be received from the revenue distribution of the federal and provincial governments, Rs 1.30 billion from bank reserve, Rs 40 million from the repair and maintenance fund, Rs 30 million from the Road Board Nepal and Rs 30 million from the District Coordination Committee.
The metropolis had presented budget worth Rs 4.84 billion for the fiscal year 2021/22. The budget of the current fiscal year 2021/22 has reached Rs 5.517 billion, including the supplementary budget and the additional authorizations. The metropolis’ internal income is Rs 970 million until mid-June 2022 towards the estimated income. The budget for this year is more by Rs 900 million compared to the initial budget of last fiscal, it is stated.
