Kathmandu, June 11 A total of 5,225 more people have recovered from COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has reached 520,816. The recovery rate has now climbed to 86.2 per cent. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the nation has recorded 3,750 new cases of COVID-19 during the same period. With this, the number of the COVID-19 infected people has reached 604,396.
Meanwhile, 67 people died due to the flu-like infection in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,305 since the diagnosis of first case of Coronavirus infection in the country in January, 2020.The latest COVID-19 cases were detected in 15,182 tests, including 9,598 RT-PCR and 5,584 antigen tests held in various laboratories in the country in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry, 3,198,702 RT-PCR tests have been done so far in the country.eanwhile, the total number of active cases stands at 75,275. Among the infected ones, 69,668 were availing of treatment in home-isolation while 5,589 were being treated in institutional isolation.
Likewise, 1,189 were in ICU facilities and 366 on ventilator support. Another 594 suspected were in quarantine facilities. In Kathmandu valley, the number of active cases stands at 10,051 in Kathmandu district. Similarly, 3,994 active cases were recorded in Lalitpur and 2,946 in Bhaktapur district respectively.
