CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has made it clear that the present ruling partners would go for an electoral alliance in the upcoming three-tier election. In his address to a function organised on the occasion of the Reporters’ Club Nepal’s 24th anniversary here today, the argument of the leader was that the existing political alliance was born out of the prompt need of the contemporary time and it would go until the elections.
“The current alliance was forged for the protection of the Constitution, democracy and nationality, the Nepali Congress has already declared to go for the election keeping this unity intact and their lies no doubt over its continuity,” he said, adding that the elections would be concluded peacefully and impartially.
He said the protection of the Constitution, republic and inclusion would be hence the areas of priority of the party, he claimed that the party had its significant role during a crisis in the country. “Press is one of the indispensable parts of a federal democratic process,” he said, terming the pace of development of the Press and the scale of Press freedom so far encouraging.
On a different note, he said though Nepal still faced no economic crisis as of Sri Lanka and a difficulty in the days to come could not be denied; and efforts had begun for dealing with possible challenges.
