The Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) has donated various medical equipment worth Rs 10 million to Surkhet Community Eye Hospital. An international organization CBM, Germany and Australia funded to purchase the medical equipment including a pictometry, an A-scan ultrasound biometry, an auto ageing machine, laboratory aids, optical low-vision aids, a Humphrey Visual Field Analyser and an auto refractometer.
Cooperation with various organisations was underway to expand and upgrade service provided by the hospital, said Man Bahadur Kunwar, the Sangh Chief in Karnali Province. “The NNJS has been providing technical assistance to run eye camps here and it will continue assistances in this regard in the days to come. The cases of cataract are found to have been increased,” he said.
