Kathmandu, June 5 – Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed grief over the passing away of Maheswor Lal Shrestha, a warrior of country’s democratic movement, NC senior politicians’ assembly member and freedom fighter. Shrestha breathed his last at Om Hospital this morning. He was 84.

In a condolence message, Deuba said Shrestha’s contributions to the expansion of NC organization base as well as to the democratic movement of Nepal would be ever-remembered. The NC President extended heartfelt tribute to the late Shrestha and condolences to the bereaved family members. Shrestha had established his fame as a humble and honest leader in Chitwan politics.(RSS)
