Kathmandu, June 1 – A total of 6,898 more people have recovered from COVID-19 in last 24 hours. With this, the total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has reached 454,344 in the country. The recovery rate has now climbed to 80.2 per cent.According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 6,085 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation during the same period. With this, the number of the COVID-19 infected people has reached 566,587.
Meanwhile, 68 peoples died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 7,454. The latest COVID-19 cases were detected in 20,165 tests including 17,147 RT-PCR and 3,018 antigen test held in various laboratories in the country in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry, 3,074,571 RT-PCR tests have been done so far in the country.
Meanwhile, the total number of active cases stands at 1057,789 with 97,704 in home based isolation, 7,085 in institutional isolation and 1,491 in ICU while 404 are with ventilator support. Another, 725 are in quarantine.In Kathmandu valley, the number of active cases stands at 14,584, 6,369 and 4,300 in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts respectively.(RSS)
