The CPN (Maoist Centre) has said all preparations for its first National Conference have been completed. At a press meet organised at the party headquarters Parisdanda today, party Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said political, ideological and technical preparations in regard with the national event were over now.The party has scheduled its national gathering at local Nepal Academy on coming December 26-28 coinciding with the birth anniversary of Chinese revolutionary icon Mao Tse-tung.
Mahara shared that party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is writing a political report for the conference and the document aimed to direct the entire party hierarchy to move towards generating new revolutionary thoughts and further strengthening of the party by restoring its image. As he said, the report will be presented in the Conference only after the party’s Standing Committee endorses it.
Citing that the general convention and national conference were different things, he said the national conference would germinate new revolutionary thoughts and build a new party.
