Kathmandu, November 28-A total of 158 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country in the past 24 hours. This was confirmed in the 8,918 tests conducted during the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.With this, the COVID-19 caseload has reached 820,878 in the country. Likewise, 342 infected ones recovered during the same period which puts the recovery tally at 802,389. The recovery rate stands at 97.7 per cent, the Ministry said.
Meanwhile, two people succumbed to the deadly infection in a day, putting the death toll from the flu-like infection to 11,523 as of now. The case fatality rate is 1.4 per cent. The Ministry shared there are currently 6,966 active cases in the country.Also, 127,611 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Sunday alone. (RSS)
